Review of How Green Was My Valley (1941) by Jason C — 13 Aug 2007
Feels "old," even for 1941, especially seeing how Citizen Kane was made in the same year. The atmosphere of the movie was good, and the visuals are nice - as in all of John Ford's movies, but overall I thought the movie was lacking in substance.
The acting was pretty bad, the plot wasn't too interesting, and the constant singing gave the movie a very 30's feel, which kind of annoys me.
