Review of How Green Was My Valley (1941) by Christian A — 12 Jul 2008
John ford the legendery director known more for teaming up with john wayne tackles a hollywood version of welsh life, so a bit unrealistic, but pretty good otherwise, life in a mining town, not a easy life for all concerned, and a look at the valleys, in a time gone by, which is in the past, a setting in a industry, coal mining, which definatly isnt what it used to be a film of its time in both direction, and acting, and welshness coming through, especially the singing and music throughout.
