This is one of the great works of American cinema, and if you consider yourself educated on film, this is a must-see. It was a best pic winner in 1941. The movie chronicles the life of a Welsh coal-mining family.
It does so with humor and pathos, and a well-told story that unwinds in a lovely way. The story captures attention quickly and brings you in through the eyes of the youngest family member. See it. It's worthwhile.
