Reese Whtherspoon plays the role of Lisa Jogenson, a professional softball player who at the age of 31 is considered "old" to continue playing for the USA league. That disappoints and depresses her so upon the suggestion of her millionaire boyfriend Matty (Owen Wilson) who is a professional baseball player, he asks her to move in with him at his beautiful NY city penthouse.
However; living with Matty may not be the beautiful dream Lisa imagines it is since he considers his place" his" instead of "ours" and Lisa notices that he does not care at times about her feelings.
Matty is a very shallow man, concerned about material possessions, a narcissistic womanizer to put it bluntly. Along the way Lisa meets another man named George (Paul Rudd) who is a big-time financial wheeler-dealer who works for the firm controlled by his father, Charles (Jack Nicholson).
But it looks like George is indicted and may spend years in prison for fraud...However; the few precious moments he gets to spend with Lisa reassure him that she is the one for him but how does Lisa know who is the right man for her? You have to watch the movie and find out! It was okay but nothing to rave about.
I have seen better romantic films..
