I like my share of romcoms, but this didn't cut it. I think I blame the script--were we supposed to laugh off the financial scandal with ties to the middle east?! Not funny. The usually good Reese Witherspoon couldn't salvage this.
In fact, she was no more than ok, and her interesting character was wasted. Rudd was great, Wilson thought he was in another Vince Vaughn movie, but Nicholson was surprisingly under control, not a caricature of himself.
