Because I'm such a sucker for a good romance movie, and because I'm such a hopeless romantic, I recommend this. If only because of all the actors involved, and because James L Brooks has done such great work in the past (Terms of Endearment).
But there are some problems, like the running time, it's just too long. And some of the scenes are too awkward and don't work. But in the end, I felt all warm inside. So if you're willing to look past that stuff, I would see this if you want a decent romantic comedy.
At least it tries to more than it is.
