Disappointing to say the least!This was a film I was really anticipating considering the last collaboration between Nicholson and Brooks resulted in one of my favorite comedies.The plot is far too bloated for a romantic comedy, which is shocking considering Brooks wrote the script as well.
Although Wilson and Rudd are great comedic actors, I feel as though they just were not right for their respective roles.After all is said and done, the film does not have any true revelations of romance, which is something As Good As It Gets had in spades.
