Very well made and intelligent political satire that lampoons Tory corporal punishment proponents. The production is superbly staged, with suitably austere locations and minimal but well-placed lighting.

The initial female lead sports a truly terrible French accent, but the veteran supporting cast of villains is so strong that it is easy to overlook. Excellent cinematography, with not overly dramatic focus-pulling and intercutting between backlit closeups and low-angle shots.
