O k I haven't seen the original House of Wax, but I am planning on watching it. Now looking at the remake as a movie on it's own, I'd say it was decent. Performance was crap, the gore was tamed a bit, and no fear = a decent slasher flick.
However, it is one of the better slasher flicks in 2005.
