Review of House of Wax (2005) by Ross L — 24 Oct 2012
The TOWN of wax is extremely interesting to see and it's quite unique, but this movie can't really figure out if it's a thriller, a horror, or a drama. It would have been more entertaining if they decided to go with more of a mysterious film pertaining to them searching this quiet town and discovering its history, but instead goes for a slasher film that doesn't even have that many deaths.
It's still entertaining and seeing the whole method of the wax making is very cool. It's a good time waster, if you wanna look at pretty people getting stabbed to death and being turned into wax.
The last 20 minutes are also very intense, and include the best and worst effects I've ever see for it's time.
