Review of House of Wax (2005) by Jack W — 15 Sep 2014

This is actually a really awesome movie. I went into this movie with low expectations, so maybe that made me like it better, but nevertheless this is a really good and original horror movie. One of my favourite horror movies is The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and one of the things I liked most about it was all the creepy characters in the town and the idea of a dysfunctional, murderous family.

This comes across well in House of Wax with the three brothers. The special effects (or they may have just been practical effects) were really cool, with the house made entirely of wax and the final fight scene between the killer and the good guys well the house is melting down, looks really cool.

Just watch this movie, it's really good!
