Review of House of the Dead 2 (2006) by Quentin L — 17 Dec 2007
As fun as the original one was, this totally inept sequel is just complete crap. The (amazingly) surviving and now legless cop from the original joins the nurse from Saw 3 and a whole bunch of nobodies you don't care about when Curien comes back from 'the ultimate rave' and inadvertantly creates a zombie plague at his university.
Why wait 29 days to deal with the problem? Why hand the sample to a clutz twice in a row? Why bother to hang from the ceiling to avoid the zombies when you've got a very grabbable ponytail? And how does hiding under a wooden table protect you from a cruise missile??!! Don't expect answers in this junkheap of a movie.
It can't even get it's own continuity right between camera shots - the deal with the airvent?! If it had anything at all to do with the games or was halfway funny, it might get away with it. Despite namechecking the AMS, you don't get jack, so don't waste your time on this when there are far better zombie movies out there.
