Wow. This movie hits home because one of the families that is fighting over the home is Persian. The film could have been one of the all time greats if parts of the acting were a bit sharper and some of the scenes were edited more appropriately.
Ben Kingsley, Shohreh and Jennifer Connelly are masterful in their roles but some of the supporting roles could have been much better (like the cop played by Ron Eldard). The ending will leave you speechless and the movie is an emotional rollercoaster that doesn't have a Hollywood ending.
