Review of House of Sand and Fog (2003) by Scott M — 07 Feb 2009
Sad but compelling tragic story about a struggle over a house. The script is somewhat heavy handed with the emotion but Kingsley, as usual, saves the day. The real focus of the film turns on the Iranian's family struggle to assimilate and bond in a new world.
The sheriff character was pure filler material, but overall, it was a good movie. Beware of a tear jerker ending.
