Review of House of Games (1987) by Alexander D — 29 Jun 2008
This is the first movie I recommend to people because it is so overlooked. It is perfectly calculated with complex characters defined by dialogue and action, rather than solely the actors' performances, which are great as well.
Those who accuse the acting as stale are missing the point, as we are supposed to feel like everyone is performing. A great film!
