Review of House of Games (1987) by Codie E — 14 Jul 2008
Completely overated. Mamet's inexperience as a film director shows as he just can't translate his unique dialogue on screen. The performances are shaky, particularly Lindsay Crouse, and the film just lacks any visual style.
Even Mamet's script is ropey, making every twist and turn so obvious.
