Review of House of Games (1987) by Spencer L — 16 Mar 2009
For some reason Mamet wrote stage dialogue for this one, which just comes off as ridiculous on screen. This is essentially a twist movie, but perhaps modern audiences are too schooled in plot twists for it to work anymore.
The twists are obvious long before they are revealed.
