I'm of the opinion that Mamet's dialogue is totally overrated. In this film, it is so stilted, grating and annoying that I was tempted to be done with it after the first 10 minutes. While the narrative is mildly entertaining, the plot is just too obvious and simplistic.
The best part was laughing at those large, boxy '80s jackets with the shoulder pads.
