Review of House of Frankenstein (1944) by Andreas O — 01 Nov 2011
The monster mash is born and it is glorious - even if Dracula's role in this is all but dismissable. Karloff is back, but this time not as the monster but - oddly enough - as a scientist following in the footsteps of Dr.
Frankenstein. Carradine isn't bad as Dracula, but he has little to hold against Bela Lugosi's classic performance. It's harmless fun in horror form. Unnecessary, some might say, but way more entertaining than it is often given credit for.
