Every girl here is named after a flower. Why is yours so plain?
Two prefects gain the trust of a blind girl suspected of being a member of the rebellion, hoping she will lead them straight to the rebel's new leader.
Like most of Zhang Yimou's work, House is simply gorgeous to look at, and it all seems much more authentic than the prettiness of Hero.
Choreography wise, there surprisingly little fights in this film, and the ones that are present are filmed in a manner that focuses on the status of the characters' minds rather than the position of their weapons. Its refreshing to say the least, and an interesting way to film a wushu film.
If you liked Hero, than you'll probably like this one. If you loved Hero (as I did) than you will love House. If you haven't seen Hero, than you should at least redeem yourself by seeing this one.
