Ok this is not a bad Movie. BUt it's not one of the best Asian Movies too. The Story evolves around a man From the Police which hunts the new Leader of a Rebel Group named "House of Flying Daggers".
Therefore he pursuits and protects the Blind Daughter of the Former Leader. But thats what he thinks cause it turns out that nothing is as it seems. Friends are enemys, his Great Love reveals that she is not who he thinks he is and at the End he must decide what to do with his Life.
The Story is not bad but it's nothing Original or Special. It's a typical Love Story. The Cast is quite good and The Performances tood. I really like Zhang Ziyi. And Andy Lau and Takeshi Kaneshiro are doing a good JOb again (as in "The Warlords").
The Action was beautiful and really good to look at. BEst were the Fight against the Soldiers on the Field, THe One in the bamboo Forest and the Endfight between the Two Former Friends. The Effects are good but the Costumes and the Land impressed me more.
It's really beautiful and the best were the Scene were the Snow begins to fall in the Fight between the FRiends. The Music is good too. All in all it's a good Asian Marital Arts Romance Movie with a good Cast but unoriginal Story.
For Fans of the Genre or of the Actors it's worth a watch.
