A beautiful movie with gorgeous costumes, locales and cinematography. A step up from the mass produced wuxia films, with that Zhang Yimou touch (I am still in love with Raise the Red Lantern). This movie has its share of amazing fight scenes but the plot and the twists make this movie worth the while.
(Yes, Ziyi Zhang is beautiful as usual, but Gong Li would have been great).
