Review of House of Flying Daggers (2004) by Alexander Z — 02 Feb 2012
Visually as stunning as Hero, but the plot is hampered by a completely unbelievable love story that is for some reason central to the story instead of being peripheral to the main conflict. The dialogue is simple, the acting is wooden, and in general it is boring.
This movie is even more stylized than Hero, but without a framework to support it.
