Review of House of Flying Daggers (2004) by Benoit B — 16 Dec 2008
Visually stunning, this film is pure eye-candy from the beginning until the very end. The plot is not especially complex (or interesting for that matter) and the characters are more archetypes serving a story about ideals than real persons living a real drama.
But who cares, really? The film is pure visual poetry and highly enjoyable as such. Beautiful and worth seeing.
