Review of House of D (2004) by Donil W — 29 Aug 2007
Wavers between mediocrity and spurts of genuine drama. Otherwise it feels like imitation movie-making by an actor turned director wannabe. Leoni is wasted in a role that could have been handled by anyone.
Williams (surprise, surprise)plays a retard (70's term, not mine) and inconsistently at that. The kid is supposed to be barely thirteen yet he looks more like sixteen while everyone else in his class look the right age (little kids).
Nice try Duchovny. Maybe next time you'll stay away from easy clichés.
