Review of House of 1000 Corpses (2003) by Lucas S — 15 May 2010
This was quite an odd film, First off, I think it's one of those type of movies you have to watch more than once to get. Like Napoleon Dynamite, I had to watch it three times untill I liked it. Pulp Fiction I have seen dozens of times and I STILL HATE IT!! I saw some Texas Chainsaw Massacre influence in House of 1000 Corpses.
Rain Wilson was really good in this movie and Sid Haig was awesome. He made the movie (To my opinion) Funny. I was told this was a very gorey movie with blood and guts, but wasn't impressed. I have seen better.
I think this movie will be more of a cult film (No Pun Intended!!) Like The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The end left you guessing with a possable sequel...LETS HOPE NOT! I rated this film two stars for the lack of gore and HORROR!
