Review of House of 1000 Corpses (2003) by Jose S — 24 Sep 2009
Off the wall and messed up. Rob Zombies first feature film is has an obvious feel of someone who hasn't made a feature film before. But yet it is very entertaining. Save for some really depressing insert shots.
Some great music choices. Escpescially the songs by Rob Zombie himself. As Pauline Kael (preeminent film critic of the 1970's) would say "You can't enjoy great art without first knowing great trash".
This is a "So bad its good movie" and it works as that.
