Review of House of 1000 Corpses (2003) by Bjorn O — 14 Apr 2010
As far as horror movie go it works. You expect things to happen and they don't and it has some jumps along with the normal girl getting lucky and finding a way to survive longer than everyone else, but it wasn't the best horror movie I have ever seen.
I would say it was more disturbing than scary (but I guess that is what Rob Zombie was shooting for). The spliced in clips were a bit confusing an became bothersome after 45 min. but at the same time they helped achieve that disturbing feeling that Zombie was shooting for.
Can't complain much as it was more than I expected.
