Review of House of 1000 Corpses (2003) by Don S — 09 Jul 2011

I wasn't sure what to expect here - lots of negative reviews and then some who really love it. This is played mostly for laughs (I hope anyway) and it works on some levels. There is really no plot, and the characters act as if they are all morons. The gore is superficial (and poorly done). It is so stupid at points you've got to laugh. It's really a lightweight horror film that you just can't hate because you are too busy shaking your head and chuckling. I didn't feel strongly about it either way. It is worth A viewing.
