Review of House of 1000 Corpses (2003) by Ricky G — 06 Mar 2015
Robb Zombies first feature film is far from excellent or even scary for that matter. I love heavy metal and I love gore and I love horror movies this movie has 1 of those 3 things and it was heavy metal.
The music in this movie is awesome most of it is Robb Zombies songs but besides that it's hard to credit the movie it starts out great actually and I was so interested it almost felt like a Quentin Tarantino script for a minute it was that good, then when everything started getting going and they started torturing people it started to drop.
You don't see any torture and much blood Zombie decides to cut away from anything before we get to feel creeped out or scared therefore getting rid of the tension. There is no wit or sense of this movie and the ending is predictable if you've ever seen any horror movie in your life.
There are some cool scenes I won't lie but not enough to ever call this a great horror movie but it is refreshing to see something different even if this is an early 2000's movie. (For more reviews follow me on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter @PopcornSpill).
