Review of Hours (2013) by Ellis W — 30 Sep 2014
A B-movie premise, an incredibly low budget, and a solid lead actor. Hours works pretty well for what it is, and boasts one of Paul Walker's deeper performances. The strains of it begin to show when after the disaster occurs and more obstacles and people start turning up and disrupting things, none of which work very well.
Take these bits out however, watching Walker struggle on his own proves to be surprisingly engaging and interesting. If only no other person got in the way of it all, and perhaps a bigger budget was allowed, then we would have a very fine film here.
As it is, it's a fairly solid B-movie thriller.
