Review of Hours (2013) by Andrea R — 11 Oct 2014
After seeing this on Amazon Prime recently added list, I decided to check it out. I loved Paul Walker, normally its hard for me to watch a movie after an actor/actress has passed away. This was just as hard, but reminded me of how much I loved him as an actor.
Hours, is a heart breaking and touching movie about a man trying to save his daughter after Hurricane Katrina. The father faces one life-and-death decision after another, fighting to keep his daughter alive, as minute-by-agonizing minute passes...becoming unimaginable hours.
Although I felt like at points this movie, was for lack of a better word slow, I would still recomd it for anyone to watch. Its worth it in the end.
I also at the end wished to see more, I wanted to see the father, and his daughter thriving after the storm, or at least rebuilding of their lives afterwards. I feel like it sort of ends, with little to no resolution. I felt like after all of the flashbacks, which gave us an amazing insight into his past, and his love for his wife, we needed a flash forward before it ended.
