Review of Hour of the Wolf (1968) by Ryan M — 08 Jul 2008
Maybe not bergman's best but still a great film. this film is creepy to say the least. the sense of isolation and the stillness of the early morning hours are palpable.
Great acting by max von sydow, liv ullmann, and the supporting cast. the horrors truly seem real.
Really there would never have been a david lynch, or even a stanley kubrick without ingmar bergman.
I highly recommend "hour of the wolf".
