Review of Hour of the Wolf (1968) by Newt C — 16 Jul 2008
Another incredible film from bergman that seems to me to be about the impossibility of being an artist. this, more than any other of his films, seems similar in some ways to what fellini was doing. its gothic and surreal, expertly acted, wonderfully staged though I cannot bring myself to say it is among his best.
