A few rather unfunny gaseous puns.actions, but hey, it's a kids movie, apparently this is funny now, rather than gross and rude. For die hard fans of mythical creatures, no, however it's a kids movie and they will like it a lot.

Grownups will get some good laughs out of a rather touching movie as well, it's cute, it's witty, and if you have a sense of humor about mythology, it's great. The animation isn't streamlined like most are recently, which makes the blocky unflattering animation of this movie stand out, you do get used to it, though you constantly wish that Mavis's love interest was either smarter or less irritating until the end, in which you love him to pieces.

There are some good jokes, and some interesting characters, overall I'd say it's a good movie.
