This movie was not bad, but it wasn't particularly good, either. Not so much a plot as a series of successive scenes built around Mavis exploring California, while Adam Sandler's Dracula went to extremes to get his grandson to manifest signs of vampirism.
Mel Brooks was pretty good as Vlad. But if you've got Mel Brooks playing a vampire, you should introduce him by the middle of Act I, rather than toward the end of Act III.
