Sandler comedies are funnier than a typical, bad spoof, excluding the weirdness level, but a small portion of the characterization poised to annoy the viewer in some or most by behavior. His most successful factors is going for hilarity with the help of his gang and special cast, using talents other than comedy, and providing a heartening warmth. His animated feature "Hotel Transylvania" attempted the heart, but was at the same level of Sandler's average comedy level of annoying silliness, especially being kids' size. Now the experience of checking back into the Hotel Transylvania is a pleasant one, with apparent improvements and being the most enjoyable Sandler comedy yet in recent memory.

After the marriage ceremony of human Jonathan (Andy Samberg) and Dracula's daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez), their lives as a married couple gets chronicled in this sequel when they gave birth to their newborn son Dennis and raising him at the Hotel. The young bundle of joy fulfills his joyful title to his grandpa Dracula (Adam Sandler), who's trying to get the vampire fangs out of him so the family won't out and live with Jonathan's family. While the parents are away, Dracula takes his grandson on a trip with his buddies - Frankenstein (Kevin James), Wayne the werewolf (Steve Buscemi), the Invisible Man (David Spade), and Murray the mummy (Keegan-Michael Key) - show him how to be scary enough to grow out the fangs when he's human. Then in Part B of the story, Dracula's estranged father Vlad (Mel Brooks) enters the picture, who despise humans and probably will disapprove his son's hotel business arrangement.

This sequel takes the characters to reflect upon themselves: Dracula trying to be the better grandpa to his grandchild when he's still learning about the important role, and seeing that there's no such thing as scary; while Mavis observing the difference between living at the "Monster Mash" Hotel and humans' community. The realizations for each reflections come to the embrace of returning to the game one last time and accept the natural way of life.

"Hotel Transylvania 2" is probably a Sandler comedy at a peak above his other silly symphonies. He played his cards right this time which resulted in more laughs and more heart at a total of being more enjoyable with minimized amount of the typical silliness. It's a family film with a teaching value that's worth checking out as it was being thoughtfully connective that some can relate. However, the deliverance of the message was put off-guard during the climax, but it was luckily maintained when the heart value of the result is at an acceptable level.

To further explain that family thought with more clarity, the relationship theme between a grandfather and his grandson is at a similar portrayal to a father-son relationship seen in Sandler's old comedy "Big Daddy". Not only that but this animated treat went for similar cues and references to other previous Sandler comedies, unfortunately including "Jack and Jill".

To sum it up, "Hotel Transylvania 2" is a more enjoyably pleasant stay that it'd sometime overstay its welcome like the first time, but it'd provide enough heart and comic to overlook it a little. All I've written on the movie is what I would write on that small "report card" sheet before checking out of the room and rate my experience. (B+).
