Review of Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015) by Jamie V — 10 May 2016

First 3/4 of the movie are genuinely cute. But the overlooking father trying to push himself into the lives of his family is too much. From the minute he finds out he will be a grandfather Dracula tries to control everything about its life.

First by breaking into the delivery room, refusing to call the child by his own name and making him a new one that he approves. The rest of the movie he tries to change the child. Clearly not accepting the child for who he is.

The whole movie is spent with Dracula trying to force his grandso to become a vampire against his parents wishes. The movie ends with Dracula barely admiting he would love his grandson if he was human but it doesn't matter because the grandson becomes a vampire.

Cute movie but can't overlook how the grandfather tries to force his desires on a young child, trying to change the child by scaring him. 100% not okay.
