In his Academy Award nominated role, Don Cheadle shines in this powerful film that is hurt a little bit by a made-for-TV-movie feel. Though that undermines the movie a little, the message and performances make this film worthwhile.
It is 1994 and the genocide that is occuring in Rwanda is sweeping the country. Peacekeepers from the U.N. and The U.S. are withdrawing. Cheadle plays a manager at a hotel in the middle of the action. He hides away as many of those in danger as he can, saving the lives of hundreds.
