Review of Hotel for Dogs (2009) by Margarita U — 08 Jun 2009
This was one of the very first "chapter books" I ever read.
It's a very cute, family movie. The dogs are all so cute. I love that they are real, acting dogs...no talking, no wearing clothes, no dancing around. Of course the things the people and the dogs do are unrealistic, but that's okay.
I surprised even myself by weeping when things weren't looking good for the kids or the dogs. And in the end when everything worked out, I squeezed out a few more tears of joy!
In the DVD special features, they said that the main actor dog who plays the lead dog Friday (there are three!) came from a shelter 4 months earlier! Aww :).
