Review of Hotel Artemis (2018) by Drew P — 11 Jun 2018
Just saw the movie and honestly had a good time with it. I thought it was a cool, self contained story that we don't see a lot of in this era of mega-franchises. Personally I really loved the world and the aesthetic of the hotel as well. Lastly the one-on-one character interactions are really where I feel the actors shone and, in my opinion, showcased a lot of great screen chemistry. I'm not saying the film has no flaws, but overall I found myself laughing at the jokes, interested in the plot, and satisfied with the an ending that I felt provied both emotional closure for the characters and room for more story, without feeling like a setup for a sequel.
TLDR; If you have an hour and a half to spare, give the Hotel Artemis a visit.
