Review of Hot Tub Time Machine (2010) by Ramos C — 02 Apr 2012

Right along the lines of the Hangover and "Dude Where's my Car?" Hot Tub Time Machine is an over the top ,anything goes,off the wall, out of this world, laugh till you pass gas comedy.

This is your typical boys night out full of Fbombs and debaucharey, this film floats to the top of the stupidity whirlpool and lays there like a bloated walrus.

Its 80s theme gives it an excuse to include licensed music and cult star cameos which includes Chevy Chase and a mustached William Zabka.

The later still making good on his reputation as the quintessential 80s jerk.

Our cast of time travelers include John Cusack as the hopeless lovesick romantic,Rod Coddry as the loose cannon,Clark Duke as the Nerdy little dweeb, and Craig Robinson as.... that guy from Pineapple Express, uh wait, Hes kind hearted emotional one that holds them together, I suppose you could call him the teddy bear? the black guy is the least edgy..go figure.

These guys have almost nothing in common and their friendship takes more than a few odd turns but manages to stay intact conveniently.

This movie utilzes the 3 B's of Comedy; beer, Blowjobs, and Boobs.

I still think this movie has its moments but can't figure out why anyone would cast John Cusack in a comedy.

So in the end everything turns itself around and works out for the best, and everyones problems are solved better than they could have ever hoped or dreamed. Again WTH ? Can you honestly say this movie wasn't influenced by drugs or alcohol?

The best part of this movie is all the glorious licensed music, with a full fledged Motley Crue music video of one of the greatest ballads of all time "Home Sweet Home" as the grand finale to the movie. Treasure it.
