I don't ask for much when it comes to comedies. All I want is for it to make me laugh. I don't care about the plots or character development, I just want to laugh. That's exactly what I got with Hot Tub Time Machine.
Some of the jokes were really clever and the time period helped define these jokes. I also loved the on running joke about how the porter lost his arm. It's not a great film, but it did exactly what I wanted, so I'm happy.
