Review of Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2015) by Jacob S — 09 Jun 2015

I really liked the first Hot Tub Time Machine film and grew to like it the more I watched it. I was kind of skeptical of this sequel, especially without John Cusack. One thing I loved about the first film was the setting of the 80s, but since this film is set in the future, it didn't have that going for it and the future wasn't as funny.

This film had a lot of jokes and some of them were funny, but a lot of them fell flat and weren't too funny. Overall I was very disappointed with this sequel and I can't exactly pinpoint the problem, whether it be the lack of John Cusack, the setting of the film in the unfunny future, or just bad jokes.

I did really like the ending as they went back to many historical events though.
