Review of Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2015) by Dr. S — 18 Feb 2015

I got to catch a free screening of this one tonight with some friends who happened to like it a lot more than I did. However, most of the audience in the theater I was in was mostly silent throughout this one which was not a good sign for this "comedy" The only redeeming qualities here for me were that some parts are actually very funny, but the majority of this film, I felt like the creators here were trying waaay too hard to break new grounds of offending it's audience with comedy that one might find in family guy or something Seth MacFarlane might try to conjure up for this type, but even those examples are better than what's at hand here.

Some parts do work here, but overall, this story and it's execution was a a total mess and I think I was even generous here with my rating as most the audience didn't even seem to find the film much funny at all or at least not worthy of any genuine laughs besides a few here and there.

I would say if you really are interested in seeing this one, wait for it to come out on video release and skip seeing it in theaters. Not worth your money and I'm glad I didn't have to pay to see it.
