"Watch out "Paul Blart 2", "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" is a stinky cash-grab that gives sequels a bad name".

It's Oscar weekend everybody! That means it's time to talk about "Hot Tub Time Machine 2". The movie year of 2015 just keeps getting worse. In two months, "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" will crash into theaters but the race for the worst sequel of 2015 just got tighter. "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" is appallingly unfunny. Despite starring in a lot of low-rent projects, John Cusack did not agree to appear in "Hot Tub Time Machine 2". That should give you some idea on why this movie is bad. Former "Daily Show" correspondent Rob Corddry takes the lead away from Cusack and he is not capable of carrying a feature film. His character is more despicable than Adolf Hitler, he doesn't care about his wife, he is cruel to everybody around him, and he sings "You're a nerd and no one likes you!" to his son.

In this pointless sequel, Lou (Corddry) has become the father of the internet, Nick Webber (Craig Robinson) is now a popular musician because he borrowed hit songs from actual artists before they could make it themselves, and Jacob (Clark Duke) still hates his dad and he doesn't want to be associated with him. When Lou gets shot by an unknown assassin, Jacob and Nick decide to save his life by taking another dip in the hot tub time machine. They travel back ten years into the future and they have really screwed it up. Neil Patrick Harris is now President of the United States, there's a hospital called the St. Nicolas Cage Care Center (Are you kidding me!), and Christian Slater is now the host of a popular game show called Choozy Doozy.

So the three idiots go off to find Lou's killer but they run into Adam's son, Adam Yates Jr. (Adam Scott). Adam is set to be married to Jill (Gillian Jacobs) and he goes with the three idiots to find Lou's killer. Soon they find out that Lou's old schoolmate, Gary Winkle ("Daily Show" correspondent Jason Jones) has stolen his success away from Lou and oh yeah, there's also a blue smart car who wants to kill Lou and I don't blame you smart car. Chevy Chase is also back as the repairman but even he is wasted in this, he's only on screen for about a minute.

So far this decade, there have been a lot of pointless, unfunny sequels. I had to endure "Grown Ups 2", "A Haunted House 2", "Horrible Bosses 2", "Scary Movie 5", "Little Fockers", "The Hangover II" "The Hangover III", "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" and "Think Like a Man Too". I think I'll add "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" to that list as well. These movies are perfect examples on why Hollywood is so lazy. It is what it is, when executives talk about making sequels to stuff that was popular, they make them just to make money. I walked out of this movie really furious. Who thought making a "Hot Tub Time Machine" sequel was a good idea?

The first movie was a dumb idea on paper but surprisingly, it was really funny. This movie is not even close to being hilarious, we get a lot, A LOT of dick jokes and gay panic humor. Completely devoid of humor and completely stupid, "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" is one of the worst movies of the year.
