Review of Hot Rod (2007) by Ljs — 06 Aug 2007

I couldn't stop laughing, I'm ashamed to say. The entire movie is about as shallow as the online comedic shorts that made Samberg and his pose famous before SNL. I heard that the role was originally meant for Will Ferrell, and it shows.

For some reason I couldn't shake the feeling that I was watching a half baked Ferrell comedy. I can only sum the movie up as Elf meets Napoleon Dynamite and ask myself what kind of drugs they were on when they made this movie.
