Review of Hot Rod (2007) by Ian B — 19 Nov 2011

I honestly can't believe I'm giving this movie four stars. The previews didn't look funny and I sure don't know anyone who saw it in the theaters, but I'd go so far as to say Hod Rod is the best stoner comedy since Grandma's Boy.

This movie was classic! The story was kept to a minimum, it didn't try and pile on the sappy moments like most comedies do these days....shit, this movie didn't even try and make sense half the time.

All I know is I was pissing myself laughing from beginning to end. It has some of the funniest, most random comedic moments I've ever seen (cool beans?!?!). I don't think I've ever seen a better use of 80's power rock on film either.

I know a lot of people out there will hate this movie, but if you "get" these guy's sense of humor (or have a bong handy) this will quickly become one of your favorite comedies.
