Review of Hot Rod (1950) by Dave B — 29 Oct 2011
Based around quirky, silly and at some points random material which I love to see in comedy films. The storyline involving a wannabe stuntman, a few weird friends and a odd relationship with his step father allows for many funny sequences to be incorperated.
The main problem is that it is Hit and Miss gags but the frequency of 'hits' improves further along the film. I also felt that Bill Hader and Jorma Taccone (the other 'Lonely Island' guy) could have contributed even more to the comedy.
