Review of Hot Fuzz (2007) by Donna G — 28 Jul 2013
Here comes the fuzz. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost team up once again for the outrageous action comedy Hot Fuzz. An overly efficient London police officer who's too good at his job gets transferred to a quite rural village, but once there he starts to suspect that there may be a sinister reason behind the village's low crime rate.
The writing is especially good, and does a brilliant job at satirizing and parodying the cop genre. Additionally, Pegg and Frost deliver excellent performances and have great chemistry together, which makes the comedy hit even harder.
An outstanding spoof of buddy cops films, Hot Fuzz brings the noise.
